7. “I have run out of dishwashing detergent,” said Tom joylessly.
8. “I have some pre-packaged cheese slices,” said Tom craftily.
9. “I just bought a British sports car!” said Tom triumphantly.
10. “Please take away that Pepsi,” said Tom coaxingly.
11. “Elvis is dead,” said Tom expressly.
12. “You must consider the past, the present, and the future,” said Tom tensely.
13. “That’s actually the brightest star in the northern hemisphere,” said Tom seriously.
14. “That statue of Venus is my favorite,” said Tom disarmingly.
15. “My garden needs flowers,” said Tom morosely.
